Gigabit PoE+ Injector Powerline Adapter — 802.3af/at, Up to 30W Output
Product description
Convert non-PoE devices to PoE devices: This injector adds PoE capability to network endpoints without replacing your existing non-PoE switches or switches that lack PoE support. It injects power onto a single Ethernet cable so compatible devices receive data and power together.
Power delivery and compatibility: The unit uses auto-sensing electronics to supply up to 30W to connected devices (PoE+), while remaining backward compatible with 802.3af (PoE) devices that draw up to 15.4W. The injector includes an integrated power supply so no external brick is required.
Hardware and connectors: Equipped with a 1 Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) RJ45 Ethernet input and a Gigabit PoE+ RJ45 output, the adapter is built with a durable plastic housing and metal ports for reliable cable connections. The compact form factor is designed for desktop or shelf placement.
Included items and cabling: Package contents typically include the injector unit, its attached or separate power cord, and a quick-start guide. It delivers both power and data over a single Cat5e/6 cable and supports run lengths up to 100 meters (328 feet) from injector to device.
Important usage notes: This device is intended for PoE-capable equipment (PoE cameras, access points, VoIP phones). It does not support devices that require separate data and power leads or non-standard passive PoE implementations. Status LEDs indicate power and activity — a steady green shows the unit is powered, and different illumination can appear during active output; occasional colored LED states under load are documented by users as normal in some cases. Ensure the powered device does not request more than 30W.
Standards and applications: Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, it works with a wide range of PoE-enabled devices including IP cameras, VoIP handsets, and wireless access points. Installation is plug-and-play with no configuration required.
Pros
- Delivers up to 30W PoE+ with auto-sensing
- Gigabit data throughput on both ports
- Plug-and-play, integrated power supply
Cons
- No built-in mounting bracket
- Power cord can be thick and stiff
- Not compatible with devices needing separate power runs
VerdictThis Gigabit PoE+ injector is a straightforward, no-configuration solution for adding PoE to non-PoE networks. It offers auto-detection between 802.3af and 802.3at devices, a dedicated Gigabit input and a PoE+ Gigabit output, and an integrated power supply capable of delivering either standard PoE or PoE+ levels. Installation is plug-and-play and performance in field use is generally reliable, tho

Plug-and-play with steady output
Easy to install and provides reliable power to data-only Ethernet jacks. The power cord is fairly heavy and stiff, so it can be tricky in tight enclosures.

Solid choice for powering a camera
I needed an injector for an Ethernet camera and this one powered it without fuss. Setup was straightforward and the camera came online right away.

Dependable for camera deployments
Bought several of these to power PoE security cameras; each unit has worked reliably.

Restored full connection speed
Solid unit. My service is 500 Mbps but an old injector capped me at 100 Mbps; swapping in this injector restored the higher throughput immediately.

Performs as advertised
Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Delivers negotiated PoE+ for enterprise AP
After trying other brands this injector successfully powered a Cisco 2802E that requires negotiated 802.3at. It performs like more expensive OEM injectors. Would be nicer with a mounting option.

Solved power for remote Wi‑Fi extender
I used the injector to power an outdoor Wi‑Fi extender via outdoor-rated Ethernet instead of running new electrical lines. It supplied enough power and I later bought another for my main home.

Powered my Netgear access point
Worked with a Netgear AP with no issues.

Failed with my PTZ 802.3at camera
Unit arrived but would not power a PTZ camera — the status LED alternated colors instead of showing the expected steady state. I returned it.

Compatible with Ubiquiti U6-LR access point
Used this to power a U6-LR on the second floor with about a 30 ft cable. It keeps the AP running and I haven't noticed speed loss. Serves well as an alternative to the manufacturer's injector.
