Fluke Networks Pro-Tool Kit IS40 — Punchdown & Wiring Set
Product description
The Pro-Tool Kit IS40 ships as a compact technician’s set with multiple hand tools organized for on-belt access. Included in the package are an ergonomically shaped duragrip pouch sized for belt mounting and quick retrieval of tools.
At the heart of the kit is the D814 punchdown tool, an industry-standard unit designed to produce secure terminations on 66/110-style blocks. The set also contains a multi-function cable stripper that quickly rings and slits a variety of common communications cables for fast prep work.
A small probe pick is provided for locating loose contacts and extracting debris or cable fragments from jacks and connectors. Electricians’ D-snips are included to make trimming and stripping conductors cleaner and faster than scissors or general-purpose cutters.
Tools are arranged for repeated field use: the pouch keeps items close at hand, the punchdown tool supports routine terminations, and the stripping/cutting tools speed cable preparation. PROTOOL KIT IS40.

Does the job, blade situation noted
A straightforward, no-frills kit that performs. One downside is only one punchdown blade is included, so I’ll need to purchase additional blades for specific 110/66 applications.

Handy kit, but a few missing conveniences
I like the organization and tool selection, and the pouch makes field work easier. It would be nicer if a small punchdown block and a dedicated holder were included for on-site terminations.

Good tools, scissors are tight
Everything works well except the scissors’ finger holes are too small for me, which makes them awkward. The probe pick is excellent for removing little plastic inserts from wall plates.

Solid compact layout for regular installers
Used this set weekly and it covers the common punch-down and prep tasks in a small footprint. Quality feels solid; it’s an investment for those who need dependable gear day to day.
