Franklin Sports Quick-Setup Steel Soccer Goal — 10' x 5'
Product description
Quick setup without tools: The frame uses precision-fit, snap-together steel poles and self-adhesive net straps so the goal goes from box to ready in minutes — no wrenches or loose hardware required. The net secures with hook-and-loop straps for a tidy fit.
Built to withstand regular use: The frame is made from rust-resistant galvanized steel designed to take powerful shots without bending. The included all-weather nylon net is treated for UV resistance and designed to hold up to rough play. Four galvanized steel ground stakes are supplied for firm anchoring during practice sessions.
Portable and simple to store: The goal is lightweight for its size and disassembles quickly for storage in a garage, car trunk or trunk. It’s compact enough to carry to parks, fields or the beach and convenient for pop-up practices.
Mid-size 10' x 5' dimensions: This model fills the gap between small practice targets and full-size goals. The 10-foot width and 5-foot height make it large enough for realistic shooting and short-sided scrimmages while still fitting most yards — useful for players improving shooting accuracy, positioning and goalkeeper drills.
Complete kit in the box: Each package contains the galvanized steel frame, an all-weather nylon net, self-stick attachment straps and four steel ground stakes. Manufactured by Franklin Sports, a long-standing maker of backyard and recreational sports gear.
Pros
- Tool-free snap-together assembly
- Galvanized steel frame resists rust
- Portable mid-size 10' x 5' for realistic practice
Cons
- Net may wear sooner than the frame
- No dedicated carrying case included

VerdictThis 10' x 5' steel soccer goal offers fast, tool-free setup, durable galvanized tubing and a weather-resistant nylon net — a practical choice for backyard practice and informal matches. It breaks down for transport and stores easily, but the net may not match the longevity of the frame and there’s no dedicated carry bag included. Overall, solid construction and good playing feel make it a dependa

Durable for backyard and neighborhood games
We use these for neighborhood matches and they’re straightforward to assemble and lay flat for storage. Lightweight enough to move for mowing, and the frame and netting have proven durable.

Exactly what you'd expect for kids
Frame tubing is fairly thin but adequate for children’s play. The ground pins can be easy to misplace and are a bit prone to bending.

Very happy — looks sturdy and well made
Bought for my 11-year-old and it fits our yard perfectly. Assembly was straightforward; I added a few zip ties across the top to keep the net snug since it stays outside. Much sturdier than the pop-up style we had before.

Stands up well and easy to move
Wanted a goal to use outdoors with my son — this has handled rain and regular kicks without showing much wear. The tubular metal is light so it shifts a bit on harder shots, but it’s simple to reposition without collapsing it. The net color is visible and the overall value is impressive.

Adult-capable and reassuringly solid
A great option if you want a goal that won’t fly away — once staked down with the U-shaped pins it stays put even on hard shots. Assembly takes about five minutes for the frame and another five to secure the net; two people make it easier. Brings back memories of building goals from pipe, but with a much cleaner finished product.

Solid choice for adult 5v5
I purchased two to use in adult 5v5 games and wish I’d done it earlier. Assembly is easiest with two people and takes under five minutes. The frame is sturdy against hard shots and the ball bounces off realistically. The hook-and-loop straps have held up through some heavy use. For transport, a large bag makes handling the disassembled sections much simpler.

Good for shooting and side-to-side drills
Width is spot on for my twins and our small yard; height is shorter than their league goal so it’s not ideal for high-corner practice. Great for shooting and goalkeeper lateral work. Netting seems a bit lightweight, so I docked one star.

Great upgrade for adult recreational play
I bought two for a weekly group of about a dozen adults. Upgraded from smaller pop-up goals — these give a proper target for shots and hold up when adults strike the ball. Pros: the larger size makes shooting more realistic, the frame stays rigid and the ball rebounds off the posts. Cons: it takes a few minutes to assemble and take down, there’s no carry bag in the box, and each goal weighs about 25 lbs so moving both adds up.
