EISCO LPG/Butane Laboratory Bunsen Burner with Needle Valve
Product description
Premium build and control: This burner pairs an adjustable air collar with a needle valve to let you regulate both the air–gas mixture and the fuel flow independently, producing everything from a small pencil flame to a stronger jet.
Fuel compatibility and inlet: Intended for LPG or butane cylinders, the unit includes a serrated inlet arm that fits 6–8 mm laboratory tubing for secure attachment to neoprene or similar hoses. An adapter and hose are required when connecting to larger propane cylinders.
Materials and construction: The mixing tube is aluminum, seated into a circular die-cast zinc alloy base for footprint stability. A flame-stabilizing tip is fitted to the burner head and air ports are spaced around the tube with a rotatable collar to vary incoming air.
User and maker notes: Gas flow is metered by a needle valve placed just above the base, allowing precise adjustments while running. Manufactured and designed by Eisco Labs with in-house quality control and lab-focused design input, the unit is intended for classroom, hobbyist, or light laboratory tasks.
Pros
- Fine needle-valve gas control
- Adjustable air collar for flame tuning
- Fits 6–8 mm tubing for standard hoses
Cons
- Base feels light; could be heavier
- Blue flame can be hard to see
- Requires adapter/hose for some tanks
VerdictThis EISCO burner delivers reliable, adjustable heat for small lab or hobby use. It accepts standard 6–8 mm tubing, gives fine needle-valve control over fuel flow, and lets you tune the air intake for sharper or softer flames. Construction is competent — an aluminum mixing tube mounted on a die-cast zinc alloy base — and the flame-stabilizing tip helps keep a steady jet. Ideal for distillation, ba

Powerful and adjustable, but watch the invisible flame
Performs well and the flame is simple to fine-tune. Be cautious: the blue flame can be almost invisible, so always know where it is. I run mine from a barbecue tank using an adapter and neoprene hose. Small and sturdy — I mainly use it for distilling corrosive liquids so my better equipment stays safe.

Smooth flame but could be heavier
The flame is steady and clean, but I expected a bit more weight in the base.

Exactly what I needed, though lighter than hoped
This matched my order exactly. I considered building one myself, but this was cheaper and easier. I would prefer the base to be heavier.

Good quality for hobby chemistry
Solid construction and a nicely controllable pencil flame. Works perfectly with my neoprene 3 ft (.9 m) hose. Great for hobby experiments; I’ll update if any problems appear.

Arrived on time and worked flawlessly
It functioned perfectly and was delivered promptly. The build quality matched my expectations.

Needs adapter for propane, but functions as expected
You’ll need an adapter and hose to attach it to a propane cylinder, but once hooked up it behaves like a proper burner.

Confusing marking on the base
The base is stamped with the word Natural, which made me question whether it’s intended for natural gas rather than LP. When used with LP the flame showed some yellow.
