Mikasa Satin Loft 65-Piece Stainless Flatware Set — Service for 12
Product description
This 65-piece flatware collection supplies a full table service for 12 people and includes the extra tools hosts need. The set contains 12 dinner forks, 12 salad forks, 12 dinner knives, 12 dinner spoons, and 12 teaspoons, plus five serving pieces: a serving spoon, a slotted serving spoon, a serving fork, a spreader (butter knife), and a condiment/sugar spoon.
Each item is constructed from 18/10 stainless steel — a high-nickel blend selected for improved resistance to rust and corrosion and for a lasting bright luster. The satin surface gives every piece a subdued, brushed look; handles are flat with clean edges designed to minimize visible fingerprints and water marks while maintaining a contemporary silhouette.
The pieces are engineered with a deliberate weight and balance so they feel substantial yet comfortable in hand. That thoughtful heft aims to make everyday meals and special dinners more pleasant for diners of all ages. The design is versatile, pairing well with casual place settings as easily as with more formal china.
Care is straightforward: the finish is intended to stand up to regular dishwasher use without the need for frequent polishing, and the construction is meant to resist fading and tarnishing over time. For households who prefer low-maintenance tableware, this set delivers a coordinated service and the serving implements needed for entertaining.
Mikasa’s Satin Loft line emphasizes simple, modern lines and reliable performance. The set’s combination of material, finish, and included pieces makes it suitable for those setting a full table for family dinners, larger gatherings, or holiday events.

Excellent quality but size matters
We compared this with a Oneida set and both were excellent. Mikasa runs noticeably larger than typical flatware, so plan accordingly. Still a very nice-looking, well-made option.

Sturdy heirloom-quality flatware
Gorgeous and consistent — every piece matches. Subtle brushed handles and a secure grip. Very solid feel; these won't bend easily. Includes large serving spoons, slotted spoon, spreader and meat fork. A simple, timeless design that complements any table.

Nice look, a few practical issues
Upgraded from an older set and like the appearance and feel. Downsides: small rust spots showed on a couple of knives after weeks, so we've been hand-washing them; teaspoons are shorter than expected; finish on some pieces could be better.

Understated elegance and good durability
Replaced a 30-year-old set and these exceeded expectations. Satin finish is elegant for daily use and formal meals. Comfortable weight and balance. They cleaned well in the dishwasher; with hard water a quick towel buff helps.

No fingerprints — very practical
Lovely set, larger than I expected but elegant. The satin finish hides fingerprints and watermarks, making it great for everyday use.

Quality varies across Mikasa lines
I miss the softer edges of older Mikasa patterns — some recent production has sharper tines and spoon bowls. Another satin model felt closer to the older craftsmanship, though this set is still closer to original quality than some newer runs.

Stylish, practical set for large households
I bought this when I needed a large, dependable set after losing pieces. The steel looks high-quality and resists tarnish, and the satin styling is refined. Combines everyday practicality with a dressy look.

Finish wore quickly for me
After about three weeks the finish began to degrade and rust appeared. Disappointed — I wouldn't recommend based on my experience.

Beautiful, functional pieces
They look great and feel balanced. Textured handles sit well in the hand; serrated knife cuts meat cleanly. I find the teaspoon a touch large, but overall I'm very pleased so far.
