Marine
16ft & 24ft Dock Bumpers — Full-Edge Protection Fender Strips
Product description
Available lengths and sections: The strips come in a 16-foot option made up of ten pre-cut 19.5" pieces and a 24-foot option delivered as fifteen pre-cut sections for flexible installation along long runs or corners.
Materials and durability: Constructed from marine-grade rubber designed to resist corrosion and stand up to wet, salty, or sun-exposed environments. The material compresses to absorb docking forces and rebounds to retain shape over time.
What’s included and packaging: Each set ships with stainless mounting screws and a peel-off double-sided adhesive backing to hold pieces temporarily during fitting. Items are packaged flat to avoid creases so they arrive ready to install.
How it’s used: Mount on straight edges or along sides to protect both dock and craft. Peel the protective film, press pieces into position, then secure with the supplied screws. Sections can be trimmed with a sharp knife or a miter saw to match corners and irregular lengths.
Installation notes: The adhesive backing helps position strips but may not be sufficient on its own in high-stress spots; many users fasten top and side with screws or nails. Available colors include black, gray, blue, brown, orange and yellow to suit visibility and aesthetics.
Pros
- Marine-grade material resists weather and corrosion
- Pre-cut sections simplify measuring and fitting
- Includes adhesive backing and stainless mounting screws
Cons
- Adhesive may not hold alone in exposed locations
- Material can scuff or mark under heavy abrasion
- Screw holes may need pre-drilling through thick rubber
VerdictThese dock bumpers offer solid everyday protection: marine-grade rubber, pre-cut lengths for quick layout, and included stainless screws plus peel-off adhesive for temporary hold. They cushion light impacts and shield hulls from scuffs, though adhesive may need mechanical fasteners in exposed conditions.

Quick install, does the job
Mounted easily and performs as expected.

Adhesive needs help from nails or screws
I stuck it down but the tape alone wouldn’t hold, so I tacked it on top and side. The rubber is thick and the screw holes aren’t punched, so small screws didn’t bite well.

Prefer small pre-cut sections
The short pieces were much easier to handle than a long roll. I added small fender bits between sections for extra protection and it looks great.

Straightforward fit and finish
Works perfectly for our dock. Quality feels solid and it looks good. Installation was simple and the screws were supplied.

A bit too soft for rough use
Feels soft and shows scuffs and scratches quite readily.

24ft set installed neatly
The 24' kit arrived in 15 sturdy sections. After fitting the first piece the rest went on quickly and the finish is tidy. I trimmed one section with a miter saw for an exact fit.

Good coverage; backing film is fiddly
Brown looks discreet and the strips protect well. The protective film over the adhesive is hard to grasp and peel off. Otherwise I’m pleased and will buy more.

Fast install over 100ft
I installed about 110 feet on a new boathouse. Peel the backing, press onto the wood, then secure with the supplied stainless screws. Took roughly two hours and seems durable.

Bright, visible edge protection
The yellow option makes edges easy to spot and feels substantial rather than flimsy. Screws made fitting simple and it’s reduced scuffs during regular docking.

Saved for a future dock project
Bought ahead of a planned boardwalk and dock build. Material feels tough and weather-resistant, and the orange is easy to see on approach.

Good for scuff protection, not a fender substitute
Pre-cut pieces make installation quick. They protect against dock rash and light contact but won’t replace inflatable fenders in choppy or rough conditions.

Absorbs bumps without leaving marks
Holds in place with double-sided tape while you screw it down. Cuts cleanly and cushions light impacts, keeping hulls free of marks.
