One-Sided Fusible Fleece Interfacing (17in x 10 yd) — Medium-Weight Iron-On
Product description
What you get: a single roll of one-sided fusible fleece interfacing measuring 17 inches wide by 10 yards long. The product is supplied as a continuous polyester fleece with a fusion adhesive applied to one side.
Materials and construction: the stabilizer is a medium-weight polyester fleece with loft and a heat-activated adhesive on one face. The fleece provides internal body and cushioning, while the adhesive creates a permanent bond to compatible fabrics once fused.
Dimensions and weight: the cut width is 17 inches and the roll length is 10 yards, suitable for multiple small-to-medium projects or several larger pieces. The fleece sits in the medium-weight range — enough loft to give shape but not as lofty as thick battings.
How to apply: position the fleece with the adhesive side down against the wrong side of your fabric. Use a preheated iron, applying steady pressure for roughly 20–30 seconds to melt the adhesive and secure the layers. Allow the bonded item to cool before handling so the adhesive sets properly. Trim excess with scissors or a rotary cutter as needed.
Care and uses: once fused the bond is durable and tolerates normal machine washing on many fabrics. Common uses include bagmaking, quilt accents, table runners, clothing stabilization, wallets, craft projects and home decor items. As with any interfacing, test on a scrap to confirm heat settings, bond strength and the final drape before committing to a full project.
Pros
- Provides noticeable structure and loft
- One-sided adhesive for easy positioning
- Large 17" x 10 yd roll fits many projects
Cons
- Can feel stiff in sandwich quilting
- Requires sufficient heat to fuse well
- May be heavier than some expect for medium grade
VerdictA versatile iron-on fleece that adds structure and soft loft to many sewing projects. The polyester fleece with a single adhesive face bonds reliably when pressed and stands up to machine washing. Excellent for bags, wallets, home-decor accents and many craft applications. Quilters should test a sample first — some users find it firmer than expected when used between fabric layers. Overall, a usef

Needs slightly higher iron temperatures than some interfacings but fuses securely. No unpleasant smell.

Too firm for quilting layers
The listing claimed quilting use but it was stiffer than I wanted between fabric layers. I tried fusing it sandwiched but it didn't soften, so it wasn't suitable for my quilts.
