TekPower TP30SWV 30A DC 13.8V Digital Switching Power Supply with Noise Offset
Product description
The TP30SWV is a digital switching DC power supply intended for ham, CB and amplifier use. It supplies a nominal 13.8V DC output with a selectable fixed mode and a variable range from 9V to 15V, and can deliver up to 30 amps continuous. The chassis includes a primary DC output on the rear, a front-mounted cigarette-style socket and a front snap-in terminal for quick connections.
The unit is built in a compact metal enclosure and offers low ripple and stable line/load regulation to protect sensitive radio gear. A front-mounted noise offset knob reduces switching artifacts specifically for communications use. Safety features include overload/short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown; the supply is fused on the AC input.

Pros
- Steady, low-ripple output with selectable fixed/variable modes
- Front noise-offset control tuned for radio use
- Clear digital readouts and quiet cooling fan
Cons
- Front cigar socket limited to 10A and snap connector to 3A
- Some users report occasional manufacturing debris inside
- Not intended for very high-current continuous loads beyond 30A
VerdictReliable, low-noise DC power for radios and small amplifiers. Offers a fixed 13.8V option plus adjustable output, solid regulation, useful noise-offset control and multiple protections. A quiet fan and clear digital meters make it a practical bench or shack supply; occasional quality-control issues have been reported.

Does what it’s meant to
Solid, dependable supply. Reminds me of pricier units in layout and function.

Clean, steady power for my Yaesu
Used this with a Yaesu FT-991A and it supplies rock-solid 13.8V with no audible RF noise. The fixed 13.8V mode prevents accidental voltage shifts, yet the variable range is handy for bench work. Noise-offset is there if needed. Digital meters are useful and the fan is very quiet. Front snap-in limited to 3A; rear terminals handle the full 30A.

Did the job for 50W rig
Worked fine for a 50W transceiver; setup was straightforward and it ran overnight without issues. Solid performer for modest station needs.

Good starter supply for mobile rigs
The cigarette socket let me power a mobile UHF/VHF radio immediately while wiring the main outputs. The dual display shows draw while operating so I can monitor performance. Binding posts are convenient for future expansion.

Stable with some limits
No major complaints. Provides steady voltage; noise-offset can shift some interference but won’t cure every environment-dependent issue.

Simple to use, stays cool and quiet
Quick to set up and mostly silent except when the fan cycles. I use the fixed 13.8V for daily operation and the adjustable option for other projects. Feels well-made and offers strong value.

Caused interference on HF
Did not work well with my HF radio — produced significant interference during use.

Good performance but QC lapse
Power supply functions well, but mine arrived with a loose piece of solder rattling inside. Fortunately I caught it before powering up. The unit needs better factory inspection.

Runs 24/7 without drifting
Operating continuously for months to feed my HAM and CB radios. Voltage holds at 13.8V even under 10+ amp draw. Feels well-built and hasn’t introduced any detectable interference. Easy-to-read display shows volts and amps.

Surprised it drove my subs
I converted car subs and a 600W amp to this supply. Despite the 30A rating, it supplied ample headroom—front meter read 5–10A during heavy passages. Works safely and cleanly for my basement setup.
