SquishyLand Rainbow Reef Squishy Board Game (Pre-K to Grade 2)
Product description
What’s in the box: a vibrant folding game board, a set of tactile squishy character game pieces, multiple leveled card decks for early readers, and a simple instruction sheet for play and differentiation. Extension card packs for older grades are available separately.
Materials and construction: the characters are soft, squeezable squishies designed for little hands; the board is brightly printed on sturdy stock; cards are printed with clear, age-appropriate prompts and a coated finish for frequent handling.
Sizes and storage: the board folds to a compact footprint that fits most classroom shelves and home storage; the squishy pieces are sized to be easy for preschoolers and early-elementary children to grip while playing on the board spaces.
How it’s used: players draw from a deck that matches their reading level and follow directions on cards to move around the board, practicing skills such as sound blending, phoneme manipulation, rhyming, syllable decoding, and simple affixes. An adult or teacher often reads cards aloud for early players, and decks can be swapped to match each child’s abilities.
Instructional basis: the activities and progression were developed by teachers and built around principles from the Science of Reading to foster phonological awareness, phonics, and emerging fluency.
Classroom and home fit: intended for kids from Pre-K to second grade, the game supports differentiated practice, is accessible for learners with diverse needs, and is designed to be played in short 10–20 minute sessions during centers or family time.

Great for mixed-age practice; add backups
My 4- and 5-year-old have benefited from different grade decks during homeschool. I’d like more cards per pack for variety, and we already bought extra squishies after heavy play.

Solid game with minor quirks
We added extension decks and everyone enjoyed it. I noticed some cards repeat more than expected, so I’ll review the decks. The pieces are a bit large for some spaces, which caused small disputes, but build quality is generally good.

Students enjoy it and it’s easy to use. The quality is great and leveled cards let younger learners participate. Would recommend for classroom use.

Perfect for K–2 centers
Kindergarten students prefer it to many other games. It’s simple to run during centers (10–20 minutes), fits my shelves, and holds up well. Cards need an adult to read, but it’s very engaging.

Won over a reluctant reader
My son usually avoids reading, but after two days he asked to play repeatedly. The separate decks for different levels let his younger brother join too, so both get useful practice. Highly recommended.

Handy for homeschool phonics
My kids love this for phonics practice. Multiple level options mean it works across ages, so it’s become a regular activity during our homeschool sessions.

Great for preschool learners
My preschooler took turns and stayed focused. He’s learning letters and sounds, the squishies are durable so far, and the pace keeps kids interested while they learn. Different decks keep older kids challenged.

Useful addition to homeschool resources
We enjoy this for reading review — it’s tactile, grade-appropriate, and you can pick the deck to match each learner. Higher-grade card sets are available separately.

Learning turned into playtime
We adore this set. My daughter didn’t want to quit — the squishy characters are adorable, the colors pop, and she actually picked up skills while playing. Pieces feel sturdy and the cards are easy to follow.

Works for focus- and reading-resistant kids
My 5-year-old who resists reading asks for this game nightly and seeks harder cards. The squishies can lose their painted faces if tossed, but the engagement and learning are worth it.

My child can’t stop playing
My daughter plays constantly and uses it to practice reading. A hands-on, fun way to build early literacy skills.
