Drunk Charades — Adult Drinking Charades Party Game
Product description
Drunk Charades is a party card game designed for adults 21 and over that combines classic charades with drinking penalties to increase the laughs. The package includes a deck of over 100 prompt cards, printed on coated cardstock in a standard playing-card size, and a compact tuck box for storage.
Cards are divided into three primary types: mimic-only prompts (no talking), limited-talk prompts (you may speak but not use the answer words), and drink-immediate prompts that instruct a player or team to take a penalty drink. This mix keeps rounds varied and prevents repetitive playstyles.
To play, draw a card and follow its instructions — act it out without saying the answer or use the allowed hints as directed — while teammates try to guess before time runs out. If the team fails, the card’s drinking consequence comes into effect. The rules are straightforward, so setup and first rounds are quick and painless.
Although marketed as a drinking game, groups can easily remove alcohol from play: replace sips with dares, points, or physical tasks to make it family-friendly or kid-safe. The cards’ coated finish helps them hold up through multiple sessions, and the compact box keeps the deck tidy between gatherings.
Pros
- Easy-to-learn rules that speed game start
- Varied card types keep rounds fresh
- Durable, standard-size coated cards and compact box
Cons
- Primarily aimed at 21+ players
- Some prompts favor talking over acting
- Not ideal for very large groups without rule tweaks
VerdictAn energetic addition to adult gatherings that keeps people laughing and involved. Simple rules and a variety of card types — act, talk-with-limits, or instant-drink — mean rounds move quickly. It’s easy to adapt for sober play or family-friendly versions, and the deck of 100+ standard-size cards provides plenty of replay value.

Jessie 5/5
Flexible for families or adult groups
Easy to adapt: swap drinking penalties for push-ups or forfeits to include younger players. There’s a good split of silent and speaking cards, so both kids and adults enjoyed different rounds.

Janz 4/5
Mostly talking, some acting
We noticed a lot of cards require talking rather than miming. Played without alcohol and still had fun; cards are standard size and the topics felt current. We tweaked rules to make more cards charades-style.
-
Mitmit 4/5
Fun even without alcohol
We played sober and it was still a blast. The deck has three card styles, rules are straightforward, and the cards store easily — my 11-year-old even joined in under modified rules.
