Naked Cowhide Leather Motorcycle Saddle Bags — Studded Throw-Over Side Bags
Product description
Construction and materials
These saddle bags are crafted from genuine naked cowhide leather. The heavy leather and reinforced stitching increase tear resistance and longevity, while the finish sheds dust and wipes clean easily. The leather is treated to provide a degree of water resistance so contents are better protected from light rain.
Compatibility and clearance
Sold as a throw-over pair with an adjustable center yoke, the bags are intended to fit many cruiser-style motorcycles including Honda Shadow, Sportster, Softail, Dyna and V-star models. When installing, allow about a 1–2 inch clearance between the top of the exhaust and the bags to avoid heat contact.
Capacity and dimensions
You receive two saddlebags. Each side measures approximately 15.25" W x 7.25" D x 10" H, bringing the combined capacity to roughly 36 liters. There is ample room for essentials such as gloves, wallet, phone, earbuds, keys, power bank, beverage, rain gear, a change of clothes, basic tools and similar daily items.
Access and carry options
The flaps secure with pin-style straps and quick-release snap buckles so you can open the pockets rapidly while keeping items enclosed during travel. Flap coverage helps block dust and rain. Each pocket includes a gunn holster and elastic, adjustable internal straps designed for concealed carry.
Installation and stability
The central yoke can be widened or narrowed to sit over the rear fender and is adjustable via laced flaps. These flaps tie with nylon laces and are zippered to the bag bodies. For extra steadiness, there are two black ropes attached to both sides of the single-sided bag to help secure the assembly to the bike.
Shape retention
To prevent sagging, the bottoms and sides are reinforced with hard panels. An internal reinforcement system keeps the bags' silhouette intact even when they’re empty, maintaining a neat appearance.
Style and security
The studded black (or distressed brown) finish updates a motorcycle’s look while expanding cargo capability. The flap design and solid stitching help keep luggage secure over rough roads and reduce the chance of dust or moisture getting inside.

Not as pictured and feels flimsy
I bought the distressed finish and it didn’t match the listing. The build feels cheap and I doubt they’ll last long. The buckle lock is ineffective because the strap can be undone to bypass it. Wouldn’t buy again.

Handle failed; waterproofing disappointed
Initially fine, but a handle broke after about a month. The Velcro holds while riding but is a pain to open. Claimed waterproofing wasn’t reliable — my contents got soaked.

Functional and convenient
Exactly as described. Comes with a small plastic key attached to a card—don’t lose it. Zippers allow detaching the bags for trips, then reattaching; the Velcro closures are very strong.

Roomy and attractive but not true cowhide
These hold shape well and kept my gear dry in light rain, but the material is synthetic over plastic panels rather than true cowhide. They still look good and the gun holsters are useful, so decent value overall.

Wrong color shipped; fit and fastening issues
I ordered black but received distressed brown. The left bag bows inward unless stuffed, and the Velcro on front and back is hard to open. Friends had the same complaint; I’ll likely try to sell them at a loss.

Seams and shape problems after use
Stitching started coming apart near the zippers. After just one rain, the internal board warped and the bag lost its shape. Very disappointed.
