Treva 5-inch Clip-On Pet Crate Fan — 2-Speed Battery Powered
Product description
What’s included: the 5-inch fan head with matching clip-on bracket and a quick-start sheet. Batteries are not supplied.
Two speeds: The fan offers low and high settings so you can pick a gentler breeze or stronger airflow depending on your pet’s needs. Both speeds are engineered for quiet operation to avoid startling animals.
Simple mounting: The clip/ bracket slips over crate doors or side panels and holds the fan in place. It’s compatible with most carriers and wire or ventilated plastic kennels; position it and switch it on.
Battery operation: This unit is powered by two D-cell batteries (not included). A slide-out battery compartment shows polarity labels for straightforward installation. A side-mounted slide switch selects off/low/high.
Durable build: The housing is injection-molded plastic and uses a proprietary blade profile intended to maximize airflow while conserving battery energy. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for travel, shows, vet visits, and short car trips.
Pros
- Portable and easy to mount on most crates
- Two quiet speed options
- Compact, lightweight construction
Cons
- Runs on two D batteries (not included)
- Can detach if bumped roughly
- Not ideal for continuous heavy-duty use
VerdictA portable cooling option for carriers and cages that delivers adjustable airflow and simple mounting. It’s lightweight, battery powered, and built from durable plastic with a blade design intended to conserve power. Performance and battery life vary by use; it’s a convenient, travel-ready unit for occasional cooling, though rough handling and heavy-duty continuous use may expose its limits.

Good product but batteries drain fast
Performs well overall, though the D batteries run out sooner than I’d like.

Return process was frustrating
Not satisfied with the quality for what I paid. Attempting a return was difficult because it came from an outside seller, so I was left disappointed.

Great little cooler for the pups
Simple and effective for cooling puppies in their crate. Quiet and keeps them comfortable.

Surprised by how well it worked
I used it on a five-hour drive and it helped my dog relax. I even used it at night for myself. Solid performance; I would buy another.

Compact size
Very lightweight and easy to move around.

Handy little unit
Works well on my rabbit’s cage. Batteries lasted longer than I expected. Remember it needs D cells.

Exactly what my dog needed
Great for a cage or carrier. Uses two D batteries; wish it had a rechargeable option, but it does the job.

Useful at events
Airflow is decent and it does come off the holder if bumped. Handy for van use and while a building’s AC ramps up at dog shows.

Good value for general use
I own three and like them. They clip on easily, run quietly, and have two speeds. I only use them when dogs are in the car and a set lasts 6–8 weeks for that intermittent use. They can get knocked off their holder and that has caused a few breaks, but they still function. I’d buy again.

Poor battery life and weak airflow
Disappointed — output is weak even on high and it drained fresh D batteries in less than a day at an event. Other older fans we own give much stronger airflow and last far longer on the same batteries.

Would prefer rechargeable
Functionally fine, but I would rather it had a built-in rechargeable battery.
