    Does the job, wide beam

    Bought it to check for cat urine and happily found none. The unit puts out a bright, broad glow that makes scanning rooms quick and easy. Solid performer.

    Effective and well built

    Watching a relative’s small dog use pads in a carpeted home was tricky—dark rugs hid accidents. This larger UV torch makes spotting hidden spots much simpler. It’s sturdily made and far stronger than my older small light, so cleanup is faster and more reliable. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with pet messes.

    Useful from several feet away

    If you want to keep your home cleaner, this is a helpful tool. You can inspect areas from a few feet off the stain instead of being right on top of it. Uses six AA batteries but performs strongly.

    Powerful—spotlights stains even with some light

    I’ve tried smaller black lights before and they were underwhelming compared to this. Pay attention to battery orientation and springs when inserting cells. It finds stains in full darkness and even works in rooms with ambient light. I discovered hidden mold and many urine spots I hadn’t noticed. I’ll be taking it on trips for inspections—worth it.
