Leather Belt Hole Punch Pliers — 2.0mm Round Punch
Product description
What you get: a single hole punch plier designed to create 2.0 mm round openings. The tool is compact and intended for handheld, one-handed use.
Construction and materials: hardened, durable jaws deliver the cutting action while bright yellow vinyl-coated handles offer a secure, non-slip grip. A spring-loaded return and double-lever mechanism reduce the force required and help prevent hand fatigue.
Size and capacity: the punching diameter is 2.0 mm, optimized for small belt adjustments, watch straps and similar thin materials. It’s most effective on leather, thin belts, elastic, rubber, thin plastics, cardboard and saddle materials.
How to use: align the material between the punch and the anvil, squeeze the handles together for a clean cut, then allow the spring to reopen the pliers. The design keeps the removed slug inside the cutter until you eject it, which can be done with a pointed tool if needed.
Applications and limitations: ideal for adding extra holes to sandals, belts and straps or for craft work that needs consistent small holes. Because of the small punch diameter and compact form, it’s not designed for heavy-duty or large-diameter punching in very thick hides.
Pros
- Compact one-handed operation
- Clean 2.0 mm round holes
- Comfortable vinyl grip
Cons
- Limited to thin or soft materials
- Not suitable for larger holes
- Cuttings can accumulate in the punch
VerdictA straightforward, compact punch that makes tidy 2.0 mm holes with minimal effort. The hardened jaws and spring return allow one-handed work while the vinyl grips reduce hand strain. Best for thin belts, straps and softer materials — not suited for large or very thick pieces.

Works as expected
Bought it for a new pair of sandals; later discovered the shoes already had holes but this still looks useful for other pairs. Seems well made for occasional use.

Handy and adaptable
I used this on elastic for a craft project and it made neat holes; it also works cleanly on leather. Smooth action, solid feel without being heavy, and the yellow handles are easy to spot. The cutter isn’t razor-sharp but produces tidy rounds, and lining up the mark is straightforward.

Should've purchased sooner
Makes neat holes in shoe straps. The waste piece stays trapped in the head but pops out easily with a toothpick — no real issue.
