DYMO M25 Digital Postal Scale — 25 lb Capacity
Product description
The DYMO M25 Digital Postal Scale is a compact weighing platform designed for envelopes and parcels up to 25 pounds (11 kg). It arrives with a USB cable for powering and connecting to a computer and can also operate on three AAA batteries (batteries not included). The top plate is built to withstand regular handling and is constructed from durable materials to suit daily shipping tasks.
Weight is shown on a clear LCD in either pounds/ounces or kilograms/grams, and the unit includes a tare feature so you can subtract container weight for accurate net measurements. The illuminated hold function locks the displayed weight for ten seconds after the item is removed, useful when a bulky package obscures the screen. The compact footprint fits on a busy desktop and tucks into most drawers when not in use.
Connect the scale to a PC or Mac with the included USB cable to take advantage of online postage and shipping services. To conserve power the scale automatically switches off after a period of inactivity. With a 25 lb capacity and fast readouts to fractions of an ounce or grams, it is intended for everyday mailing and small business shipping needs.

Solid choice for eBay sellers
Works well for small online sellers and handles frequent use without fuss.

Extremely precise for light shipments
After a few days of use it delivers very fine fractional-ounce accuracy. I've relied on the brand for label gear before. Wish there were a mid-range model between 25 and 100 lb.

No option to disable auto power-off
Easy to set up and operates well, but it turns off automatically with no user option to keep it on unless you upgrade to a pricier model.

Easy to operate for online sales
Very simple to use and has helped with my web-based selling operations.

JM 5/5
Auto shutoff interrupts shipping flow
Scale performs well, but it shuts off after about three minutes. That can interrupt batch shipping and requires restarting between orders.

Metric display format can be confusing
Works with a Windows PC but auto-off is annoying. In metric mode the kg/gram layout omits leading zeros, so a display like '1. 62' actually represents 1.062 kg.

Accurate, but missing promised extras
Matches readings from calibrated scales for parcels and lab use. My issues: no backlight and the included software was not part of the package; subscription access seems required now.

Dogwood Hill Homestead 5/5
Handy for high-volume e-commerce shipping
I ship multiple packages daily and cheaper scales failed me. This one is accurate, quick, can run on USB or batteries, offers tare and hold, and feels rugged. It does power down after a few minutes of inactivity.

Lynn 4/5
Dependable for precise liquid measures
Very reliable for measuring liquids where precision matters; performs consistently.

J. Phillips 4/5
Solid feel straight out of the box
Just received and used it a few times; durability is unproven but build feels robust and operation is straightforward.

Po W. 4/5
Reliable and USB-powered, needs backlight
Has worked as advertised so far and USB power eliminates constant battery changes. Handles over 2 kg easily; would be nicer with backlighting.

Windows compatibility and reliability issues
Bought four units and faced erratic behavior. Two exchanged units behaved similarly. Problems appeared on Windows 8.1, later developed random disconnects and odd tiny weight readings on Windows 7.

Helps avoid paying extra shipping tiers
We matched it to post office scales and found near-identical readings. Knowing exact ounces saved us money by keeping weights just under the next pound increment.
