Camco Aluminum RV Sewer Hose Support — Telescoping 6' Lift
Product description
This telescoping sewer hose support is designed to lift and guide standard 3-inch RV sewer hoses to maintain smooth, downhill flow and reduce kinks or sagging. It works well with typical 10-foot hose setups and helps ensure reliable gravity drainage across uneven ground.
The support extends to a maximum length of about 6 feet and collapses to roughly 6 3/4 inches when stowed, making it compact enough to fit many storage compartments. Its construction is aluminum, chosen for light weight and resistance to rust, and the joints are secured with solid brass rivets for added longevity.
A strap kit is included to fasten the hose to the frame and prevent the hose from slipping or falling off during use. The unit is intended for use on a variety of surfaces — gravel, grass, or mild slopes — and is operated by expanding the telescoping sections and placing the hose along the top rails.
Because it’s metal rather than molded plastic, the support tolerates sun and cold much better and avoids brittle hinge failures. Replacement rivets are simple to fit if one ever comes loose. The design is straightforward: deploy, set the hose across the bars, and secure with the supplied straps for steady, gravity-assisted draining.
Pros
- Rust-resistant aluminum frame
- Telescopes to span uneven terrain
- Includes strap kit for secure hose placement
Cons
- Limited total span per full extension
- Strap design could be improved
- Initial deployment can feel stiff
VerdictA lightweight, rust-resistant aluminum frame that lifts and guides standard 3" RV sewer hoses to ensure gravity-assisted drainage. It telescopes to span uneven ground and folds small for storage. The included strap kit helps prevent slippage. Expect better durability than plastic supports, though the overall span and strap design have some limitations.

Holds up to weathering
Doesn't disintegrate after exposure the way black plastic holders do. Still doing its job after long-term outdoor use and hasn't crumbled from sun or cold. Performs very well.

Compact and more durable
Much better than the plastic-compatible model and folds small for easy storage. Feels sturdier overall.

Makes tank draining easy
A real game changer when handling black and gray tank drains. Setup is simple and it stores neatly when not in use.

Unreliable after failure
Mine broke on first use. The manufacturer initially agreed to send a replacement but later said they couldn't support the unit and it was backordered. Felt cheated by the lack of follow-through.

Far superior to plastic
Pay attention to the fit notes: a claimed fit length doesn't mean the support itself is that long. Fully extended this unit reaches roughly 10' of support span, and when folded it's about the same footprint as plastic versions though a bit taller. It fits my compartment behind the LP tanks if laid on its side. The deployment is stiff at first but loosens with use. Aluminum with brass rivets feels like it will outlast the plastic hinges I used to break, and rivets can be replaced if needed. More costly than plastic, but far more durable and reliable in cold or sun.

Performs reliably
Sets up quickly and supports the hose well. The attachment system between hose and frame could use refinement, but it functions as intended.

Sturdy upgrade
A solid improvement over plastic holders. Our old plastic one shattered into three pieces; should have bought the aluminum sooner.

Functions as advertised
Does what it should and is easy to set up. The straps work but could be designed better; small bungee cords seem to hold the hose more securely.

Good concept; wish it extended farther
Solid product and the seller was responsive. Works well overall, though a longer reach would be welcome.

Simple to deploy
Well built and likely to last. Folds compactly and stores easily. Although the sections only extend to about 6 feet, it supports a 10-foot hose without issue. It stays rigid when positioned. A bit pricier than plastic alternatives, but worth the extra money.

Broke on first use
The unit failed the first time I extended it and then broke further when trying to collapse it. Disappointing durability.

Not perfect, but very durable
I've tried several styles over the years and none are flawless, but my aluminum supports have lasted a decade. PROS: Very long lived, resist sun damage, not brittle, and they handle heavy hoses when extended enough. You can weight the crossbars to stop tipping and use small bungees to keep the hose on the rails. CON: There are limits to how far you can span—expect roughly 7–8 feet per extended section—so plan placement accordingly.
