14-inch 4:3 LCD Monitor (1024x768) — VGA/HDMI/BNC/AV
Product description
This 14-inch 4:3 LCD is designed to replace small, older displays used at service counters, compact desks and equipment racks. The screen runs at a native 1024 x 768 resolution in a 4:3 aspect ratio and is housed in a molded plastic enclosure sized for tight spaces.
Connections include VGA and HDMI for digital and legacy computer links, plus BNC and composite AV inputs for analog camera feeds. A rear USB port allows playback of compatible media files from a flash drive; the monitor also features a headphone jack and built-in speaker for supported audio.
Brightness is rated at 400 cd/m² and the panel is specified with a roughly 165-degree viewing angle, suitable for close-range menu reading and routine video checks. The monitor is not touch-sensitive, and incoming 1080p HDMI signals are downscaled to the panel’s native 1024 x 768 resolution.
Mounting is flexible: the housing accepts a 75 x 75 mm VESA plate for wall or arm attachment, or it can be positioned on a desktop footprint. The package includes a remote control for choosing inputs and adjusting picture settings when front-panel access is restricted.
Picture controls allow basic adjustments such as brightness, contrast, aspect scaling (4:3/16:9) and image rotation/mirroring, letting the display serve both multi-camera surveillance grids and simple computer consoles.
Pros
- Multiple legacy and modern inputs (VGA, HDMI, BNC, composite)
- Compact 4:3 1024x768 panel ideal for legacy software and CCTV
- Remote control, USB playback and VESA 75 x 75 mm mount
Cons
- Limited off-axis viewing and narrow perceived angles
- Panel quality is basic — not suited for color-critical tasks
- Remote and on-screen controls can feel fiddly
VerdictA practical compact display for older workstations and surveillance setups: it provides many legacy and modern inputs and basic media playback. Expect useful features like VESA mounting and a remote, but bear in mind the panel shows limited off-axis performance and is best for close-up monitoring or console/text work rather than color-critical tasks.

Works, but cheap-feeling panel
It performs the required tasks, yet the viewing angles and overall panel quality feel very low-end. You can tell the display is an inexpensive unit.

Simple and reliable so far
Performs well with no issues up to now.

Poor performance away from center
Viewing off axis is noticeably bad. If you aren’t looking straight at the panel, brightness and contrast shift a lot across the screen.

Works well for monitoring
I use it as a surveillance monitor and have no complaints so far. I wouldn't choose it as a primary PC display, but for camera feeds it does the job.

Good for composite-output retro rigs
I connected this to an old black-and-white 8-bit machine via composite and the image and size are just right. The supplied remote has many menu options but I only use it to power the display on and off. It supports other inputs I don't need, but overall it fits my use.

Dependable replacement for my office camera
Replaced a failed monitor in a medical waiting area. Setup was straightforward and inputs are versatile. The remote can be temperamental but once configured we rarely touch it. Serves the surveillance role well.

Great for multi-camera viewing
When showing four or more camera feeds the display looks surprisingly clear. I also enjoy using it alongside my computer for monitoring tasks.

Handy portable monitor with many ports
Needed a portable screen to attach to multiple servers for occasional troubleshooting. It has plenty of input options, which was key for me. Display quality is adequate for text consoles and retro systems; not ideal for gaming. Rotation, mirroring and scaling options are useful, and there’s a headphone jack. Would like an extra HDMI or DisplayPort, but overall I’m satisfied.

Just the facts man 5/5
Does exactly what I needed
So far it meets my needs and the image looks good for my setup. I'll check back after a month with an update if anything changes.

Image quality is dreadful for general use
At first the low cost seemed attractive, but the display is disappointing. The image is the worst I've seen — impossible to tweak into something comfortable. Not suitable for retro gaming or extended viewing; it causes eye strain and makes me constantly reposition to reduce discomfort.
