1.5in x 16ft Split Cable Loom Sleeve — Cord Protector
Product description
Includes a single split loom sleeve: 1.5 inch (diameter) by 16 feet (length). The construction is a tightly woven PET mesh that can be trimmed with scissors to match any installation.
This protector is a split-type sheath that opens along its length so you can insert existing cables without disconnecting them. The self-closing edges bring the cover together around cords for easy routing and rework.
Temperature tolerance ranges from -58 to 302 °F, with a melt point around 464 °F. The material is flame-retardant with an official protection class of UL94 V-2, making it suitable for automotive wiring, appliances, TVs, computers, audio and speaker cables.
Made of odorless, non-toxic, non-fading PET, the sleeve is durable yet flexible. It helps prevent pets and small children from nibbling on exposed lines, reduces dust buildup, and gives installations a cleaner, more professional appearance.
Use it to bundle power and signal cables, protect harnesses under hoods, or conceal AV and computer wiring behind furniture. Cut to the required length, spread the split, lay in the cables, and let the mesh naturally close around them.
Pros
- Flexible, easy to trim and install
- Heat-resistant and flame-retardant
- Deters chewing and organizes cables
Cons
- Not chew-proof against very aggressive gnawers
- May allow some pulling or tugging of cords
- Single sleeve length may be short for large projects
VerdictA sturdy, flexible split-sleeve that tidies and protects bundles of cables. The PET mesh is heat-resistant, flame-retardant, and safe around pets, making it a practical choice for home and vehicle wiring where neatness and basic chew protection are needed.

Tames oxygen tubing reliably
Very satisfied — it keeps my oxygen tubing from knotting. I routed 50 feet of tubing through it and found the insertion tool essential. (I also picked up a 60ft version.)

Secure, tightly woven mesh for stereo cables
Solid material that held six stereo cords together. I should have ordered a longer length, but the sleeve performed well and is a good value.

Great for under-hood wiring
Used this on my engine bay harness — it cleans up the wiring, is simple to fit, and offers good protection for the wires.

Soft mesh that actually deters chewing
I thought plastic corrugated covers would do the job, but my pet shredded them and kept chewing cords. This soft woven sleeve stopped the biting the moment it was installed and is much easier to fit over wires.

Helps with a chewing beagle pup
Works against our beagle’s chewing, though he still manages to pull at it. It’s a noticeable improvement with an aggressive chewer.
