Yoolax Motorized Window Blinds — Remote & Smart-Control Shades
Product description
Blackout comfort and insulation: These roller shades use heavy blackout fabric paired with a thermal-insulating backing to limit incoming sunlight and help stabilize indoor temperatures. They’re intended for bedrooms, media rooms, and any space where consistent darkness and privacy are priorities. For the best darkness, an outside mount is recommended to minimize gaps at the edges.
Smart motor choices: The shades are offered with Zigbee, Matter (over Thread), or Bluetooth motor modules so you can pick the one that fits your smart-home setup. Zigbee motors can link directly with compatible voice hubs, Matter over Thread supports major platforms like Apple Home, Google Home, and SmartThings, and Bluetooth motors work via the vendor’s mobile app without a hub. Choose your motor type carefully to match your controller ecosystem.
Power and charging: Each roller includes an internal rechargeable battery designed to last several months under normal use on a single charge. There is an optional solar panel accessory intended to keep the battery topped up over time, which is useful for windows that are difficult to access for manual charging.
Control options: These shades can be operated with the supplied handheld remotes as well as via app and compatible smart-home systems depending on the motor version. The smaller remote supports control of up to nine shades; the larger multi-channel remote handles up to sixteen. Group commands and precise position settings let you coordinate multiple windows for morning routines or nighttime privacy.
Custom sizing and installation: Shades are made to order to the dimensions you submit. The seller confirms measurements shortly after purchase to try to avoid mistakes, but the finished blind will match the size you provide. Brackets, motor, fabric tube, and remote options are included as applicable; typical installations are straightforward for most DIYers. If you’re uncertain about fit or fabric, the company recommends consulting measurement guides or ordering samples before finalizing your sizes.

Accurate cut and easy mounting — happy recipient
This was a gift and has been working well for four months. The blind was cut to the requested size precisely and the motor has been reliable. We installed it inset into a 3" frame — it’s a snug fit because the shade is substantial — but mounting took about 10–15 minutes with two people and required a screwdriver to snap the final latch.

Initial promise, then reliability failed after months
We installed eight blinds and they worked great at first with automation and Alexa routines. After about nine months they began failing intermittently, then stopped responding entirely. Alexa integration deteriorated and a later power outage left all units nonfunctional. Customer support has been a long troubleshooting process but we still have unresolved failures.

Great look and silent motors — prefer Bluetooth
Ordering custom sizes online was a bit nerve-wracking and the measurement UI is awkward, but the seller double-checks sizes by email before cutting. Delivery was fairly quick where I live. The blinds were cut exactly to spec, look sharp, and the motors run smoothly and quietly. I tried both Zigbee and Bluetooth units and, after using both, I recommend the Bluetooth option for simplicity.

Well made and attractive; Alexa setup tricky
After researching motorized shades I decided to buy these and they’ve been attractive and solidly built. Durability looks good so far. The only downside is the Alexa integration — I haven’t fully figured out the voice linking and it’s been more involved than other smart devices in my home. Installation itself I didn’t handle.

Quiet and precisely cut — measure carefully
I’m very happy with how quiet and accurate the blind fits. There’s a learning curve to the ordering and install — the company will not resize for you, so enter the final dimensions you want. For an outside mount I added 6" to both height and width as recommended. They do message to confirm measurements, and their responses were prompt within a day when I had questions.

Shade quality good, side-track extras inconsistent
I bought five shades. The roller material and packing were high quality and installation was generally straightforward. Programming limits and linking took a few retries on some units, but I got them set. My frustration was with the side-track accessories — purchased as an add-on, they arrived in separate shipments and some pieces were mismatched or imperfect, which added time and hassle.

Excellent blackout and Alexa-compatible (P440)
The shade itself blocks light well; expect some side leakage unless you allow for overlap with an outside mount. The motor is very quiet, though on occasion it made a faint grinding sound while moving. Setup wasn’t hard, but wider units benefit from a second pair of hands to hold and level while you mark and drill.
