Gooseneck Tablet Holder — Flexible Arm Tablet Stand
Product description
Please be aware: this gooseneck tablet holder is optimized for reading and viewing rather than heavy touchscreen interaction. Because the design uses a flexible metal arm, tapping the display will produce some bounce and wobble. To reduce movement, loop the portion of the arm closest to the bracket into an “S” shape; this increases stability. For heavy touches, hold the tablet with one hand while interacting with the screen using the other.
What’s included: one clamp base with screw-handle mount, a two-section metal gooseneck arm (thicker lower section and thinner upper section), and a spring-loaded device cradle/bracket. Materials: the gooseneck is metal; the lower section is sheathed in a durable, rubber-like fabric for extra grip and protection, while the upper section is a slimmer metal tube. The device cradle and clamp components are primarily plastic and include a spring mechanism to hold devices.
Compatibility and sizes: fits devices with diagonal measurements from about 4.7 up to 10.5 inches — examples include recent tablets, iPad Mini/Air/Pro models, many Galaxy Tabs, Switch, and large phones. The clamp can be attached to flat edges such as desk surfaces, bedside headboards, tables, or shelves. Use the screw-handle to secure the base; the spring-loaded cradle stretches to accept devices but may not accommodate very thick protective cases without first removing them.
Usage: position the arm to bring your screen to eye level to reduce neck strain and improve posture. Common uses include watching streaming content, video calls, reading e-books, or following recipes while cooking. Because some parts are plastic—most notably the connector between the two gooseneck sections—avoid repeated over-bending at that joint. With careful handling and proper setup, the mount provides a convenient hands-free experience.
Pros
- Adjustable viewing height and angle
- Fits many 4.7–10.5" devices
- Holds position firmly once set
Cons
- Bounces when tapping the screen
- Plastic joint can crack over time
- Spring clamp can be stiff to open
VerdictA practical, affordable solution for hands-free reading, streaming, and recipe viewing. The dual-section metal gooseneck with a rubber-like outer sleeve provides strong hold once positioned, and the clamp mounts to a variety of surfaces. It excels at passive viewing but is not engineered for heavy interaction — tapping the screen causes some movement and the plastic connection between the two goos

Broken original, excellent replacement service
My first unit failed at the joint between the thick gray section and the thin white section. Customer support offered a replacement or refund quickly; I chose replacement and it arrived fast. The new one has held up well over months of daily use and I’m very happy with it now. The company handled the issue promptly and the improved unit has been reliable.

Does the job
Holds both my tablets and my handheld console securely. Works as expected.

Great while it lasts
I bought this in 2020 and used it for years; it totally changed how I watch things. Over time, wear appears at both ends and I’ve had to secure parts with tape. It still holds a tablet and functions, but articulation and lifespan are reduced with tablet-sized loads. Phones would likely hold forever, but tablet use shortens its working life.

High-quality option
If you value quality over just cost, this model is a solid choice.

Handy but suffered fatigue failure
This stand did everything I wanted — held my iPhone 13 mini and my iPad, clamped to many surfaces, and the arm was stiff enough to resist vibration. I used it gently once a week for six months, but the flexible rod where it connects to the attachment developed a fatigue crack and broke. It seems like repeated repositioning caused metal fatigue. Useful while it lasts, but expect wear with regular adjustments.

Solid hold but clamp is awkward
I've used it a few days with an older iPad Air (11" diagonal with the case on) and it grips firmly. The gooseneck doesn't flop and stays put once you find an angle. My gripe is the spring-loaded cradle — it takes strength and is awkward to open with one hand, even with the pull string. Aside from that, it’s sturdy and does what I need by my sewing machine.

Exactly what I needed for bed watching
Perfect for watching my tablet in bed. My rounded headboard makes the clamp slide forward a bit, but that’s a surface issue, not the product. It held my 10" tablet well and the stiff arm is a trade-off — a bit hard to adjust but it stays put once set. I don’t notice much wobble when tapping.

Great for lounging, with a few design compromises
I use this every night for browsing and watching in bed — it makes things much easier. It isn’t ideal if you need to interact with the screen a lot unless you have a remote or Bluetooth keyboard, since reaching up can tire your arms. The base screw-handle is plastic and feels fragile; avoid overtightening. Overall, many of the shortcomings are limitations of the concept rather than this specific model, but the plastic parts are the one design choice I’d change for longer life.

Use gently and it can last
I actually picked one up by chance and gave it a try. At first it worked well on my bedside shelf, but after a lot of repositioning it failed near the thin section of the neck. The unit has two metal gooseneck sizes joined together — the lower, thicker section is wrapped in a rubber-like fabric and is harder to bend; the upper portion is thinner and more flexible. That thinner section is where I saw the failure. From experience, don't overwork the narrow joint and avoid bending at the connection too often. Treat it carefully and it will serve you, but it does have a clear weakness in its construction.

Loved it until it snapped
It was perfect for nearly a year with minimal handling, but then the white plastic connector began rotating under the tablet’s weight and the gooseneck detached. I rarely removed the tablet, so I was surprised. The break happened where the plastic meets the stronger metal section. I really liked it while it lasted, but the durability let me down after months of light use.

Works well but looks like it may fail
I chose this to clamp to my headboard for reading and watching in bed. It fits thinner cases fine and performs as expected for those uses. My concern is the plastic connector between the two gooseneck sections — it developed a crack and is loosening with use. Function is fine for now, but that plastic joint seems likely to separate eventually. Good product for the price, just watch that connection.
