FEMELI Vinyl Record Weight Stabilizer — 318g Disc Clamp (Black)
Product description
Weight and purpose: This disc clamp weighs approximately 318 grams (about 11.3 oz), heavy enough to dampen platter and record vibrations without overloading most bearings. It’s intended to improve tracking and minimize small warps and resonance on records.
Construction and base: The underside is lined with cotton felt to protect record labels and help distribute the mass evenly across the record surface. The top appears machined for a subdued, non-glossy finish that pairs with higher-end decks.
Dimensions and compatibility: The stabilizer is low profile at around 34 mm tall, allowing it to fit beneath many closed dust covers — including popular models such as the Audio‑Technica LP120 / AT‑LP120USB, AT‑LP5, and Fluance RT81 when the lid is shut. Before using it with a covered deck, measure the clearance between your platter and dust cover to ensure it fits.
Packaging and extras: Each unit is supplied in a paper gift box with a foam insert cut to cradle the weight securely. The box works for storage and presentation, making the clamp a neat gift option.
Usage note: Place the clamp centered on the spindle over the record. The felt base protects labels while centering the mass; however, for severely warped discs an additional outer ring weight may help more with flattening.
Pros
- Solid, machined construction
- Felt bottom protects labels
- Low profile fits many covered decks
Cons
- May stress very cheap players
- Spindle hole can be slightly oversized
- Single weight option limits tuning
VerdictA solidly built record weight that offers tangible stability for lighter or older pressings and tames minor warp and resonance issues. It won’t transform every system, but for those seeking improved tracking, reduced feedback, and a neat, machined aesthetic, this clamp is a useful, compact accessory — just confirm platter-to-lid clearance before buying.

Perfectly centered — no wobble
Surprisingly precise machining — matched my silver Technics 1200 GR2 nicely. No unnecessary logos, just a clean, OEM-like look and a perfectly centered hole. Replaced a wobbling clamp and the difference was night and day for me.

Well-machined and suitably weighted
Nicely turned metal with a restrained finish. I measured mine at about 312 g and found it more useful than a much lighter 124 g clamp I returned. The spindle hole isn’t oversized like some others. It won’t magically fix every sonic issue or completely flatten warped records for most systems, but it’s a pleasing ritual and a solid value overall.

Reduces pops and skips
Helps cut down pops and skips when there’s movement near the player. Solid little accessory that stabilizes playback during light disturbances.

Simple, stylish and effective
Clean appearance and it does the job. Attractive, straightforward design that improves stability without drawing attention. Affordable and functional.

Good build, minimal sonic change
Feels well made and fits my turntable snugly. It evens out slight warps, though the audible improvement for me was small.

Felt pad misaligned on arrival
I was eager to try it but found the felt on the underside off center out of the box. That quality issue was disappointing given the item’s cost.

Noticeable increase in richness
I expected little, but the first record sounded fuller and more resonant. Removing it returned a thinner presentation. Family members could hear the change too: deeper bass, less wow and flutter, and clearer detail. Fits under my dust cover and added a small but meaningful uplift.

Elegant look and robust build
This clamp adds a refined touch to the turntable and feels substantial in hand. Its construction reduces vibration and helps tracking, improving overall playback performance while complementing the deck’s appearance.

Works well but could be refined
Functionally solid and nicely finished, but the center hole is a touch large so the spindle doesn’t always seat perfectly. A range of weight options would be welcome to match different setups.

Avoid with low-end players
Don’t use this on very inexpensive turntables like Crosley or Victrola-style units — the added load can strain the drive and cause damage. In our studio with industrial decks it works across 78s and 33⅓s, and listeners detected clear improvements during blind tests.

Helpful for older, lighter pressings
I was skeptical at first, but on vintage and lighter vinyl the stabilizer noticeably steadied playback. On my JVC with an electromagnetic servo arm I still heard clearer tracking on aged records. The taller/heavier variant suits high‑torque direct drives well.

Does what it should — flattens mild warps
I can’t claim dramatic sonic miracles, but it flattens slightly warped discs and improves stylus tracking, which is plainly visible during playback.

Low-profile fit for Pro-Ject Debut
Good low-profile clamp that fits under the lid of my Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. Well made and a useful addition to the setup.
