Product description
This kit pairs a 1/2 in. three-speed brushless hammer drill with a 1/4 in. three-speed brushless impact driver, all within the 20V MAX XR platform. The set arrives complete with two 20V MAX XR 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries and a 4 amp fast charger, so the tools are ready for extended use right away. The hammer drill is designed to tackle large-diameter holes in timber, metal and masonry and the impact driver handles heavy fastening tasks.
The hammer drill is rated to produce up to 2,100 in-lbs of maximum brake torque, allowing it to bore through demanding materials and take on large bits and augers. DEWALT rates the drill so it can make up to 275 holes per full battery charge under test conditions and reports a rapid speed of application — roughly 2.6 seconds per repetition in benchmark tests. For user safety, the hammer drill is fitted with an ANTI-ROTATION System that senses excessive rotational movement and cuts power to reduce the chance of injury during kickback events.
Both tools use brushless motors for improved runtime and reduced maintenance. The 1/4 in. impact driver puts out strong fastening torque (rated at about 1,825 in-lbs) and can spin up to roughly 3,400 no-load RPM in its highest speed setting. DEWALT states the driver offers around 30% more torque compared to certain prior models, making it suited for stubborn fasteners and rapid assembly work.
DEWALT’s PERFORM & PROTECT design priorities are applied to this combo, offering features that focus on dust containment, user control and lower vibration where applicable, without sacrificing output. The batteries provide a maximum initial voltage of 20 volts (nominal 18V) and the package is supported by a 3-year limited warranty, giving an extra level of product protection and confidence.
