17 oz Wide-Mouth Glass Honey Jar with Wooden Dipper & Lid
Product description
This set includes one 17 oz wide-mouth glass honey jar, a fitted glass lid with a sealing rim, and a natural wooden honey dipper. The jar is made from clear, tempered glass so you can see honey levels at a glance, and the wooden dipper features a spiral head designed to hold and release honey without excessive dripping.
The lid creates a close seal to keep dust and moisture out and to help maintain freshness. The mouth is deliberately wide to allow easy pouring, spooning, or insertion of the dipper, and it simplifies cleaning — you can reach the interior with a sponge or brush. The height and diameter of the jar are sized for routine kitchen use, holding about 17 ounces of honey, jam, or similar viscous condiments.
Both the glass and wooden components are chosen for food-safe use and long-term durability; the glass is clear and smooth for a neat presentation, while the wooden dipper gives a natural look and a tactile grip. When honey crystallizes, the jar can be warmed gently (follow safe heating guidance for glass) so the honey returns to a pourable state.
Its simple, classic style makes the jar suitable for daily breakfast use — drizzling over toast, stirred into tea, or paired with cheese boards — and it also works well as a thoughtful gift for holidays, housewarmings, weddings, or special occasions. Keep in mind glass is breakable and the dipper should reach the jar bottom for full functionality.
Pros
- Clear glass lets you see honey level
- Wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning
- Wooden spiral dipper minimizes dripping
Cons
- Glass can break if handled roughly
- Dipper may be short or not firmly attached
- Lid sometimes needs to be pressed down to seal
VerdictThis 17 oz glass honey jar is an attractive, functional option for everyday use. The clear glass body and wide opening make filling, cleaning, and monitoring contents straightforward. The included wooden spiral dipper helps reduce drips while serving. It’s a lovely countertop piece and a practical gift, but buyers should handle the glass gently and confirm the dipper’s fit, as some users report is

Pretty but dipper falls short
Jar is attractive, but the dipper wasn’t attached to the lid and is too short to reach the bottom. It rattled in the box before I opened it.

Looks nice but fragile
Cracked shortly after unpacking. It’s pretty, but not great if you plan to use it heavily.

Glass handles warming well
Sturdy glass — I warm it in the microwave to loosen crystallized honey and it holds up fine.

Broke too quickly
Shattered after being set down gently. I lost some imported honey and was disappointed — I wouldn’t risk it.

Right capacity, minor lid annoyance
Solid size and attractive. Works well for daily use, but the lid can pop up unless you press it down all the way.
