Shallow Stainless Steel Cat Bowls — Whisker-Friendly, Non-Slip
Product description
Made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel (commonly listed as 304), these shallow pet bowls are BPA-free and polished for a smooth interior. The metal is 0.5 mm thick, giving each bowl a substantial feel and resistance to bending from playful chewing or routine handling. Each bowl holds about 13 ounces (roughly 1.65 cups) of food or water and is suitable for dry kibble, canned food, or drinking water.
A permanently bonded silicone ring forms the non-slip base through a co-molding process, so the rubber does not peel away. That soft footing keeps the bowl from skidding or tipping while your animal eats and also cushions the floor to cut down on scraping sounds and scuffs. The silicone edge helps contain light spills and reduces noise when pets nudge their dish.
The shallow, wide profile measures 5.98 inches across and 1.22 inches deep. This low-sided shape is intended to keep a cat’s whiskers from pressing into the food, decreasing stress at mealtime and helping minimize mess around the rim. The diameter and shape also work as replacement plates for many raised feeder stands — just verify your stand’s opening before swapping bowls.
Maintenance is straightforward: the smooth interior wipes clean easily and resists residue that can irritate a cat’s chin. These bowls are safe for use in the dishwasher and are stackable to save storage space. Their finish is practical rather than mirror-bright, which helps hide light scratches while remaining hygienic and easy to sanitize.
Because of their dimensions and capacity, these bowls are best suited for small cats, kittens, and small-breed dogs. They pair well with water fountains or raised feeders and are marketed as durable, everyday feeding dishes that reduce whisker contact and keep feeding areas tidier.

Perfect for food, too small for water
Great for feeding canned or dry food. I found them too small for holding enough water but ideal for meals.

Right size, true 304 stainless
Good proportions for both food and water and gentle on whiskers. They appear to be genuine 304 stainless and are reasonably priced. I’d recommend them.

Works well for my cat
Satisfied with this bowl. Wide and shallow so it doesn’t bother my cat’s whiskers. I handwash and the black rubber has not degraded.

Solid, wide, and stays put
I really like these — noticeably wider than other bowls I've owned. They clean up well; although they’re dishwasher-safe, I usually handwash and plan to order more.

Heavy, durable, with good rubber base
These have a reassuring weight and have lasted a long time. The rubber bottoms work well. The finish isn’t mirror-smooth, which hides scratches but creates a texture I find odd when scrubbing. Would buy again.

Helped clear my cat’s chin irritation
After switching to stainless bowls my Himalayan’s chin cleared up in days. There's almost no mess around the outside compared with the old bowls. The anti-slip base is effective, cleaning is easy, and the design suits my 9 lb cat perfectly.

Too deep for tiny kittens
They’re well weighted and large enough. The silicone base prevents noise when kittens push them, but I find them a bit deep; they eat fine from the center but the rim can feel intrusive to whiskers.

Nice looking and resistant to wear.

Good quality but different shape than expected
Overall decent construction, but the walls are taller than pictured. Not ideal if you want zero whisker contact; I ordered them for short-faced dogs and they’re so-so.

Plate-and-bowl hybrid that works
With six cats, stability and size matter. These don't slide, fit well, and come through the dishwasher cleanly. I'm buying another set to rotate. They don't bother my cats' whiskers, feel substantial, and have held up with regular use.

Happy with the choice
Good dimensions and they reduce whisker stress. The rubber underside stops sliding — exactly what I needed.
