Organic Vegetarian 'No Chicken' Spoonable Base — 8 oz Jar
Product description
Made from seasoned vegetables and no chicken, this organic spoonable base is designed to reproduce familiar chicken-style savoriness while remaining suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets. The formula is certified vegan and concentrates savory vegetable extracts and seasonings into a dense, spreadable paste.
Each 8 oz jar yields approximately 9.5 quarts of broth when diluted, so a small amount stretches far. The spoonable texture lets you add a little at a time to control intensity; dissolve it into hot water to make stock, fold into gravies and sauces, blend into marinades, or stir into cooked grains, vegetables and slow-cooker recipes for an instant savory boost.

Handier than big cartons
This concentrate is an excellent way to add a flavor base similar to liquid bouillon. Much easier to store and manage than large broth cartons.

Delicious but extremely salty
I would use this as my go-to soup starter because it tastes great, but it’s so salty that even after diluting I find it too intense. The vegan varieties are flavorful but the salt level ruins it for me. Please make a milder version.

A quiet vegan trick
I love using this in quinoa to get a chicken-rice-a-roni vibe and it’s my secret for pho-style broth. I’m sensitive to onions and this didn’t bother me. If you can find the brand’s no-beef version, try that too.

Reliable 'no chicken' base
I use this regularly for soups, sauces and rice pilafs. It’s consistent in quality, so I always keep several jars on hand.

Surprised at how chicken-like it tastes
I mixed a bit into pork gravy for someone allergic to real chicken and was amazed — a quick taste was savory and very chicken-like. My only gripe is the salt level: it pushed the gravy almost past perfect. I’d love a very low- or no-sodium version so I can control overall salt without substitutes like potassium. Otherwise, it’s highly recommended.

Staple for a vegan household
A high-quality option that doesn’t disappoint. Our all-vegan household uses it in many recipes and the savory notes are consistently excellent. Highly recommended for vegan cooks.
