Neewer 58mm Phone & Camera Filter Kit — CPL, ND32, Star & Color Filters
Product description
What’s included: the kit ships with a circular polarizer (CPL), an ND32 neutral density filter, a six‑point starburst filter, four graduated color filters (red, orange, yellow and blue), and a phone lens clip plus adapter(s). Two small cases are provided to hold the filters when not in use.
Filter materials and sizes: the graduated color filters are resin and are double‑threaded so you can stack them on top of each other or combine them with other threaded filters. The system is built for 58 mm threaded lenses and also provides compatibility for many smartphone cameras via the supplied clip and adapters; it lists support for recent phones including iPhone 17/16/16e/15/14 Pro Max/Plus/13 Mini and Galaxy S23/S24/S25/S26 Ultra, and for DSLR lenses with 37 mm and 58 mm threads.
How they work: the circular polarizer removes unwanted reflections from glass, water and other nonmetallic surfaces and can intensify skies and cloud contrast. The ND32 reduces incoming light by roughly five stops so you can use longer shutter speeds for motion blur or wider apertures for shallower depth of field in bright conditions. The six‑point star filter converts bright point lights into starbursts, useful for street lights, headlights, candlelight or reflections. The graduated color filters let you color one portion of the frame without tinting the rest, helpful for creative landscapes and sunrise/sunset shots.
Usage notes: the double‑thread design makes it possible to stack filters — for example a CPL + ND or a color grad + star — but stacked setups add thickness and require careful handling. The clip makes the set work with many phones, but because parts combine plastic and metal, attaching and removing filters needs a steady hand to avoid wear. Overall the kit is meant to expand creative options for both phone and small‑lens cameras.
Pros
- Good variety of filters for creative control
- Stackable, double‑threaded color filters
- Works with many phones and 58mm lenses
Cons
- Clip mechanism can feel flimsy in regular use
- Thin filter rings are hard to grip when tightening
- Stacked setups add bulk and require care
VerdictThis Neewer 58mm set supplies a useful collection of optical tools for smartphone and DSLR shooters who want more control over reflections, exposure and color grading. The CPL and ND32 deliver predictable technical gains — glare reduction and up to five stops of light reduction — while the star and graduated color filters let you add creative highlights and split-tone effects without heavy editing

Sharp optics, awkward clip
I bought this mainly for the CPL. The lenses themselves are good and the polarizer does its job without degrading image quality. However the clip is plastic while the filter rings are metal, so screwing and unscrewing them can feel like you’re grinding into the clamp. The thin rings are tricky to grip and rotating them while attached to the clip is awkward.

Makes phone photos more professional
My original order went missing and I had to find a local replacement, but these Neewer filters impressed me. The kit includes two small cases that each hold four filters, and the adapter snaps onto my wife’s iPhone 14 Pro Max quickly. It also mounts directly to my Neewer rig case using the rig’s adapter. The polarizer reduces glare and the filters add noticeable depth to shots.

Fits S20 even with a case
Exactly what I needed for my Samsung Galaxy S20 with a clear case. I probably won’t use every filter, but the polarizer and ND are the most useful for me. The clip holds snugly and the kit feels solid.

Smartphone polarizer sought
I’d been looking for a polarizer usable on my phone for a while. I give four stars because the two cases don’t store the clip when it’s not mounted, and sometimes the lens is hard to unscrew without removing the circular adapter.

Useful emergency accessory
Phone cameras have improved a lot, but a phone is still primarily a phone. These filters help when a phone is the only camera at hand — they’re handy for improving certain aspects of a shot, though the result still reads as phone photography. I keep them for situations where I need a quick upgrade.

Highly recommended kit
Neewer has been improving steadily and this kit reflects that — good quality filters suitable for newcomers to photography. It worked well with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and pairs nicely with a Neewer clamp on a stabilizer for impressive footage. No major negatives for my use; overall I’m happy and give it full marks.

Major mounting snag
The clamp has 52mm threads and ships with a 52–67mm adapter. If you screw a filter onto that adapter it can become effectively trapped: attempting to unscrew the filter often just unthreads the adapter from the clamp. The thin filter rims leave nothing to hold onto, and the clamp’s plastic doesn’t grip as well as the aluminum hardware. I’ve tried a filter wrench with no luck; this mounting approach may require extra tools or replacement adapters to fix.
