Neem & Peppermint Plant Spray — Indoor/Outdoor Neem Oil Spray
Product description
What’s included: a ready-to-spray bottle containing a neem oil and peppermint essential oil formulation designed for plant care. The formula uses cold-pressed neem extract and natural peppermint essential oil mixed with water and a gentle emulsifier so it sprays evenly and clings to leaves.
Materials & sizes: the active components are neem oil and peppermint essential oil along with botanical carriers and a natural surfactant. The spray is offered in common garden sizes (for example small and standard spray bottles commonly sold for houseplant use), packaged in a plastic trigger bottle for immediate application.
How to use: shake well, mist both upper and lower leaf surfaces and lightly wet the soil surface if treating fungus gnats. Wipe heavy residues from delicate foliage after a short dwell time. Reapply periodically as directed on the label — many users repeat treatments weekly to biweekly depending on infestation levels.
Safety notes: formulated to be environmentally considerate and bee-friendly when applied responsibly. Always test a small patch first, avoid spraying plants while flowers are open to pollinators, and follow label directions if using near pets, children, or edible crops.
Pros
- Natural neem and peppermint formula
- Effective against common plant pests
- Gives leaves a natural glossy finish
Cons
- Noticeably strong scent
- Can repel pollinators — avoid during flowering
- Some bottles may have unreliable spray heads
VerdictA natural pest-control spray that combines neem oil and peppermint essential oil to deter gnats, mealybugs, caterpillars and other common plant pests while leaving a glossy finish on foliage. It’s effective for houseplants and garden use when applied correctly, but the scent is strong and it can discourage pollinators, so apply before flowering and always test on a small area if pets are nearby.

Great product, poor sprayer
The formula is effective, but the trigger loosens and leaks. I transfer it to another bottle for a cleaner application.

Keeps caterpillars away — needs daily use
Worked to keep caterpillars off my vegetables, but it required daily application to remain effective. A natural alternative to harsher options.

Works well — nice scent
Effective at deterring lanternflies and squirrels from my fig. I used it on cucumbers, okra and tomatoes but found it discouraged bees. Best applied before flowering.

Lovely scent and glossy leaves
Clients and I appreciate the fragrance; peppermint and neem blend well. Leaves gain a natural high-gloss shine and the nozzle has been reliable for me.

Strong smell but it works
Very effective against indoor plant pests — no mixing needed. The neem and peppermint together produced a strong odor that lingered nearly a day, but it handled mealy bugs well.

Great for houseplants — follow the label
Updated: Spraying my pothos stopped gnats from landing right away. I added a thin sand layer to the soil and haven’t seen gnats since. Leaves stayed shiny and several new leaves opened — the plant looks healthier when used properly.
