Mr. Beams MB710 Motion-Sensing LED Night Lights — 3-Pack
Product description
This kit includes three wireless MB710 LED night lights, plus the mounting accessories needed to secure them to walls or under cabinets. Each unit is housed in durable ABS plastic with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser that spreads the beam for broader coverage.
Each light produces about 15 lumens of soft white illumination and is powered by four AAA batteries (not included). The compact footprint — roughly 4 × 2.5 × 1.5 inches per unit — keeps them unobtrusive on stair risers, in closets, near sinks or inside cabinets.
Operation is automatic: an onboard motion detector activates the LED when movement is detected in low-light conditions, and a photocell prevents activation in bright rooms. The light shuts off after a short period to conserve power; with average use (around eight activations per day) users can expect roughly a year of service from a set of batteries. No wiring or electrician is required, and most installations take under five minutes using the included mounting hardware.
Pros
- Wireless, easy to mount anywhere
- Soft, wide-spread 15-lumen illumination
- Energy-saving motion and light sensors
Cons
- Requires four AAA batteries per unit
- Sensor needs darkness and close placement
- Occasional quality-control failures reported
VerdictA convenient, wire-free lighting solution for hallways, stairs, closets and more. The MB710 three-pack offers simple mounting, a gentle 15-lumen output and energy-saving sensors. Performance and battery life generally satisfy most users, though placement and ambient light affect sensor behavior.

Didn't work for me
After installing and putting in batteries the unit lit once and then stopped sensing motion. The motion detector never triggered again. Mine was useless.

Prefer flat-bottomed versions
These perform well but I miss the square flat-bottom lights that sat nicely on steps without mounting. The MB710’s sensor is on the top edge, so it tends to trigger only when you’re quite near. The square models would pick up motion from farther away when entering a room.

Extremely versatile
These work only in the dark and only when motion is detected, then shut off by themselves. I’ve used older models for over a decade with no trouble; the MB710 is an improved design — easier to remove and change batteries. I use them in a glove box, mailbox, shed and even above the cat’s litter box. No power outlet needed and they help during outages. Batteries are not included.

Excellent customer support
Product works well and the support team I contacted was very helpful. Good experience overall.

Needs darkness to trigger
I thought they were dead at first, even after replacing batteries. Then I realized the sensor won’t trigger in well-lit conditions. Once I installed one in a dark stairwell it worked exactly as intended. If they seem inactive, try them in a darker spot.

Handy for nighttime trips
I have several of these around the house for low-light bathroom runs and they make navigating at night much safer. The units light quickly and provide a useful amount of light. They’re from a brand I trust and have performed reliably. They each need four AAA cells, so keep spares on hand. Overall a solid value.

Great for trailer stairs, one failed
I put a few on the stair wall of our camper and they worked perfectly — much safer at night. One unit later stopped responding; replacing batteries didn’t help and it only works if I cover the sensor with my hand. Disappointing but the others are fine.

Slim, discreet and reliable
These are thin, unobtrusive and operate flawlessly. Battery life has been excellent. I mounted several under pantry shelves and beneath vanities for subtle nighttime light that doesn’t shine in your face. I used adhesive strips to avoid drilling and they hold well. Very pleased with the product line.

Soft glow and long battery life
These give just enough light to see a stair or cabinet without turning on bright overhead lights. I’ve used a different Mr. Beams model for years around the house with great results. I swapped a stair unit for the MB710 because it can be mounted to avoid triggering when our dogs move, yet still lights for people.

One unit out of three faulty
Quality control is uneven — one of three in my set was defective. This is my second order and the same problem happened before. I wanted to exchange just the bad unit but couldn’t find a direct way to contact the seller. Good concept and design, but QC needs improvement.
