ABCmouse Play-Along Toddler Piano — 3 Learning Modes (Ages 3+)
Product description
What’s in the box: one electronic toy piano and three double-sided sheet music cards. The instrument is built from molded plastic and measures about 6 inches tall, with a 25-key keyboard sized for small hands. It also includes three AA batteries so it’s ready to use out of the package.
How it teaches: the piano has three distinct play modes selected with color-coded buttons — a blue number/counting mode, a purple music mode for matching colored notes, and a green shuffle button that plays pre-recorded tunes. The included sheet cards slide into the slot above the keys so children can follow numbers or colored notes printed on the sheets that correspond to keys on the keyboard.
Songs and play: Shuffle mode offers five melodies for kids to sing and follow (examples include Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus and The ABC Song). Music mode lets children play by matching the colored notes on the sheets to the matching colored keys, and Counting mode speaks numbers while guiding finger placement. The small footprint and light weight make it portable for travel and quick play sessions.
Safety and age guidance: designed for ages 3 and up, it’s created with educational input to reinforce listening, number recognition and early music skills. Keep close supervision for toddlers under 3 due to small attachments. The device is low-profile and easy to operate for little learners.
Pros
- Color-coded keys and sheets reinforce numbers and notes
- Compact, lightweight and ready with included batteries
- Three distinct modes support varied learning activities
Cons
- Volume can be very low or unexpectedly loud
- Some small parts mean supervised use for under-3s
- Limited set of built-in songs and simple tones
VerdictAn engaging, travel-friendly learning piano that blends color-coded play with counting and sing-along modes. It’s durable and thoughtfully designed for preschoolers, but caregivers should watch very young children because of small parts. Sound volume can be inconsistent — overall a fun educational toy for early music and number practice.

Highly recommended for guided play
Comes with play-along sheets that tuck into the keyboard. You can switch modes easily and the keys are bright and inviting. Young children enjoy matching notes and following the cards.

Perfect starter keyboard
This is a great entry-level instrument for kids. I wanted another for my nephew but they were hard to find.

Fantastic gift for a music-loving little one
I bought this for my autistic son. The build feels solid and the batteries lasted surprisingly long — we’ve used it for months. Bright colours keep him engaged and it helps him play simple nursery tunes. Great entertainment and learning combined, definitely worth it.

Almost no audible sound
I would rate it very poorly for volume. The output is so faint I had to press my ear to it to hear the melody. Not good if you expect clear sound.

Ideal for a toddler’s first piano
I bought this for my 18-month-old grandson and he loved the colours and sounds. The tones were pleasant and the construction felt decent for the price.

Entertaining but volume varies
Cute songs and buttons that are easy to press. The only issue is the volume fluctuates between barely audible and very loud.

Lovely little music toy
Charming and kid-friendly. We appreciate that it includes familiar songs like Wheels on the Bus and lets children play along.

Fun design but supervise younger toddlers
A hit with a child who loves banging piano keys. The sound-and-color responses were entertaining for adults too. The keyboard is sturdy but intended for ages 3+ since some pieces could come loose; close supervision is advised for younger users.

Cute, good size, but arrived powered on
Nice quality, pleasant sounds and just the right scale for my toddler. It came with the power already on, so be careful if you’re presenting it as a surprise gift.
