DMoose Weight Lifting Hooks — Heavy-Duty Padded Wrist Support (Pair)
Product description
Included: a pair of weightlifting hooks with nylon hand straps, padding and metal hook attachments.
Construction: The straps are heavy-duty anti-tear nylon with wide Velcro closures for an adjustable fit. Each wrist section includes about 8mm of thick foam padding to cushion the forearm and reduce pressure during prolonged sets. The hooks are metal with a textured coating to improve bar purchase and to limit scratching.
Capacity & stitching: Reinforced double-cross stitching secures key stress points and the system is rated to handle high loads (listed capacity around 500 lb under normal use). The coated hooks feature deep pockets to cradle the bar so the load transfers into the wrist strap rather than relying solely on finger grip.
Performance & use: Designed for deadlifts, pull-ups, rows, shrugs, lat pulldowns and farmer carries, these straps keep hands locked to the bar and reduce forearm fatigue. The non-slip grip on the hook and ergonomic strap routing help limit slipping even during sweaty sets. The adjustable Velcro allows the straps to be tightened or loosened to suit different wrist sizes.
Fit notes & care: They are intended to fit most users thanks to the wide strap and strong Velcro surface, though users with very large hands may find limited finger clearance over the hook. Wipe the coated hooks clean after use and allow the padding to dry if it becomes damp from sweat. These are primarily an aid to increase load capacity and reduce strain rather than a replacement for grip training.
Pros
- Thick 8mm wrist padding for comfort
- Textured metal hooks and non-slip grip
- Heavy-duty nylon straps with reinforced stitching
Cons

VerdictThese padded lifting hooks help offload grip demand so you can focus on moving heavier loads and preserving wrist comfort. Durability and comfort earn them high marks, though users with very large hands may find finger access limited and some need to reposition watches. Overall a soli

Comfortable adaptive aid after a stroke
I don’t use these for traditional lifting. After a stroke my left hand is flaccid and I use the hooks to secure my grip on trike handlebars and a cross-country machine. The rubber-coated hook holds even without an active grip and the neoprene-like wrist pad is comfortable and secure. A solid, heavy-duty adaptive accessory.

Highly practical support
Sturdy and supportive with a good fit. A great option if you struggle to hold the bar through heavy reps.

Solid hooks — useful for heavier shrugs
These let me consistently go heavier on shrugs and single-arm rows without losing grip. If you wear a smartwatch you may need to slide it up slightly, but the foam edge on the wrist strap protects the band. A very useful addition to my lifting gear.

Transformed my deadlifts
My gym’s bars spin and my arthritis limits my grip, but these let me load the bar more than I could before. Comfortable padding, robust Velcro and a compact size that fits in my bag. They’ve stayed put during heavy sets and feel dependable. Would recommend to anyone whose grip gives out before the rest of them.

Well made and thoughtfully engineered
I bought these after breaking my pinky. Used them for two workouts so far and they feel solid. The wrist pad is cushioned yet supportive and doesn’t rub. Wide straps give plenty of Velcro engagement and it holds tight without coming loose. The hooks are sturdy with deep grooves and a textured finish so they cradle the bar without metal-on-metal noise. On two-hand pull-ups they carried my ~170 lb body with the majority of the load on my wrists while I still keep a couple fingers over the hook for security.

Perfect for farmer’s carries and weak grip
Worth the purchase. The wrist pads are thick and comfortable and the hooks handle the load without stressing my tiny grip. I use them for farmer carries because my grip gives out quickly otherwise. Stitching, straps and hooks all feel well made.

Not ideal for very large hands
If your hands are big, you might not be able to wrap fingers over the hook, which made me feel less secure. The wrist wraps themselves are excellent, but I was always worried the bar might slip out or the hook might slide down. Great build quality and textured metal hooks, but I use them mainly for close-grip rows rather than pull-ups or wide pull-downs.

Hook quality is inconsistent
Materials felt cheap on one pair and a hook loosened. Overall build wasn’t what I expected.

Very helpful for wrist/hand injuries
I developed tendinitis and couldn’t grip like before. I have slim wrists and they looked large at first, but they don’t need to be extremely tight to work. When overly cinched they felt uncomfortable and cut circulation, so I loosened them and they transfer the load off my fingers. They allow me to do some pulling work without aggravating my injury. Not ideal for someone who doesn’t need assistance, and I can’t comment on long-term durability given my limited loads.
