Chrome-Plated Brass Lift-and-Turn Tub Stopper — 3/8" Pin
Product description
This replacement lift-and-turn stopper is supplied with a 3/8" pin and is constructed from brass with a chrome-plated finish for corrosion resistance and a polished look. The unit is intended to replace a worn or damaged tub stop assembly and restores manual lift-and-turn operation.
It features a replaceable Buna-N (nitrile) sealing element designed to be drip-proof and field-replaceable when wear occurs, extending the service life of the stopper. The stopper assembly is built for heavy-duty use and includes a theft-resistant retention mechanism to discourage unauthorized removal.
The product is part of the Watco line of bath waste components, a family of parts engineered to lower total installed costs and reduce callbacks by using durable materials and serviceable seals. Installation requires matching the 3/8" pin size to your existing drain and seating the stopper into the tub waste so the lift-and-turn action engages properly.
Pros
- Durable chrome-plated brass construction
- Replaceable Buna-N seal for long service life
- Theft-resistant retention for added security
Cons
- Only available in chrome finish
- May require a correctly sized 3/8" pin to fit
- Some users may find cost higher than budget parts
VerdictA sturdy replacement for worn tub drains that restores lift-and-turn function without swapping the whole assembly. The chrome-plated brass housing and replaceable Buna-N seal provide durability and a reliable watertight closure. Installation is generally straightforward for homeowners or plumbers; make sure the drain accepts a 3/8" pin. Good long-term value for those seeking a robust, theft-resist

Would Like More Color Options
Works well and is a good replacement, but I wish it came in finishes other than chrome. A white option would be nice for some tubs.

Open Box and Screw On — Mind the Pin
I had a different unit with an adjustable screw that was too short and wobbly. Swapped to this Watco stopper and installation was simply take it out of the box and screw it on. Be sure your drain uses the 3/8" pin. Works great.

Fit Perfectly and Operates Smoothly
Replaced an old worn tub stopper with this unit and the swap was painless. It dropped into place without tweaks and the chrome finish refreshed the look of the drain area. The mechanism feels solid compared with the old part and the lift-and-turn action slides easily while creating a good seal when the tub is filled. Saved me from replacing the entire waste assembly and restored normal function quickly.

Clever Locking Design — Simple Install
I was swapping out a worn pull-up style stopper whose internal sleeve had failed. This model locks with a slight turn instead of a straight pull, which is a neat improvement. Installation was very straightforward once the old, stubborn part was removed.

Solid Construction — Holding Up Well
This stopper is heavy-duty and appears built to last. After six months there’s been no rust and the seal is still tight — no leaks. Looks good and performs as expected.

Quality Feels Good, Pricey
Appears well made and solid, but I felt it was a bit expensive compared with other options.
